Ravana Water Falls also named as Bambaragama Ella Waterfall. A stream which initiated from the nayabeddha Mountain range and Liyangahawela and it flows through Bambaragama village.
Presently, this waterfall is popular as the Ravana Ella Water Fall. Located along the Ella Wellawaya road, this waterfall is one of the most visited waterfalls in the region. Both tourists and the local people refer to this by the nickname Ravana Ella. Over these falls, but hidden from view from the main road, is another waterfall also known as Rawana Falls. Because to its proximity to the cave, which is thought to be the location where the Lankan King Rawana temporarily buried Sita (from the Ramayana), this is typically referred to as the actual Rawana Falls. According to legend, "Bambara Gama Ella" is the correct name of the waterfall near the road. This Rawana Fall (proper) flows from the Bandarawela Hill Oya Reservoir and is 25 meters high. This almost completely stops flowing during the dry season, but when it rains, it flows vigorously. Thus, the rainy season or the period immediately following it is the greatest time to travel this autumn.

If you're on the train, you may see this waterfall from the Ella Railway station and from the Ella and Kithul Ella Railway stations. There is a road to the right as you enter Ella from the Badulla-Bandarawela Road, a few hundred meters after the Ella junction, and 150 meters before to the tunnel where the railroad crosses the road from above. Kitelella (Kithelella) Road connects to Bandarawela and goes by that name. The Rawana Falls can be seen in the distance on the left after traveling this road for a few kilometers.
